YOGA is an ancient Eastern Way of Living. By making Yoga your regular practice, you become more in touch with your body and so self-appreciation, self-love and compassion towards yourself and others become your natural way of living.
The benefits of Yoga are various. The body experiences relief from pain and tension through the practice of Asana, which are the postures executed on the mat. Weight management becomes easier as digestion, circulation and detoxification improve. Increased core strength, flexibility, lower blood pressure and increased immunity are also experienced through regular practice.
The Mind benefits a lot from Yoga. Concentration, memory, awareness, presence, stress-relief, self-acceptance, self-confidence are some of the pluses experienced through Asana practice, Pranayama which are the breathing techniques and meditation/visualization exercises.
My Yoga path started fourteen years ago during a turbulent period in my life. As an ACE-Certified Personal Trainer / Lifestyle & Weight Management Consultant, I honour the physical structures of the body as an important component of health and happiness.
My approach is one of loving the body that houses the living soul within. Through Asana (postures) and Pranayama (breathing exercises), the mind is challenged to focus and concentrate. It is through yoga that I have learnt to live the precious moment.
Yoga classes are 60 minutes long and are held from my home in Mqabba. To practice Yoga, one needs no fancy equipment or wear. Comfortable, loose clothing, a mat, your body and an open mind are all you require.
