Over the years, the club has received numerous accolades and tributes as a result of its participation and podium finishes in local races including the Malta National Cycling Championships and Tour of Malta. The club’s is very proud to have as President Mr John Magri who was awarded the much coveted Malta Olympic Hall of Fame certificate. This is a reward which is given to those who have worked hard towards the sport they are involved in and is a rare achievement for anyone to obtain. Cycling Academy: The club’s driving force is powered by the desire to educate and promote the development of young athletes socially, physically and psychologically while keeping bad habits at bay. Our philosophy fosters sport as a way of life while encouraging our younger generation to move away from the sedentary life that is all too common nowadays, and shift towards a healthier active life. Our commitment to promote a healthy lifestyle among the younger generation led our club to set up the first cycling nursery on the island. Since 2008, subscription has been on the increase and the Mosta Cycling Club nursery has today acquired a positive widespread reputation thanks to the commitment exhibited by its qualified coaches, organisers and supporting members.

The Samurai Ju-Jitsu Association Malta (S.J.J.A.M.) also known as Samurai Jitsu Kobudo Association Malta was founded by Master (Rev.) Vincent Sciortino (7th Dan Ju-Jitsu, 3rd Grade Ko-Budo) in 1988.   Since it was founded, the S.J.J.A.M. has been based on pure Martial Art, self-defence, individual attention and above all, discipline. These foundations proved their worth and have contributed greatly towards the continuous raising of standards and the increase in the number of students. Although the Association is still young, the number of students is of well over 350, making it the largest Martial Arts Academy on the Islands.     Consequently, the Association required a bigger General Headquarters to replace the one at Fgura. The new General Headquarters, inaugurated in 1994, is centrally situated between Hamrun and Marsa. Other S.J.J.A.M. clubs are located at St. Paul's Bay, Zurrieq.

Welcome to the Royal Malta Golf Club (RMGC). From the relative spartan beginnings of a clubhouse in St Anne’s Ditch and a 9-hole course around the bastions of Valletta, to the parkland course in Marsa where the club currently resides, organised golf has been played in Malta since 1888. The Royal Malta Golf Club was founded by Lieutenant-General Sir Henry D’Oyley Torrens KCB KCMG.  Sir Henry had started the Royal Cape Golf Club in South Africa 3 years earlier, and on his posting to Malta as Governor and Commander-in-Chief decided that Malta needed a golf club.  The then Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Alfred Ernest Albert, the third son of Queen Victoria, was based in Malta at the time, and became a founder member, hence the royal patronage from where the club gets its name. Today’s course offers 18 holes of golf in a green oasis just outside Valletta.  At par 68, the course is not one of the longest, but the apparent simplicity is deceptive as it demands accuracy off the tee and the relatively small greens are well protected.  It offers a good challenge for the more experienced golfer, but at the same time is kind to the beginner. The current course record is 60, and if you come here and beat it, drinks are on me.  Thomas Jacobsen Captain RMGC
